There are over 250 delicious recipes in my book. Recipes that go back over 100 years. Alex Haley was on to me to write a cookbook. He was at my house for supper just 3 days before he passed away. He called back and told my wife to get me started on it and that he was going to write a outline and (quote) put his two bits worth in it. Needless to say he did not make it back.
Sample Recipe

Southern Fried Chicken
Add 1/2 inch of veg oil to your cast iron skillet. Bring up to 350°. Wash and pat dry chicken, salt and pepper and roll in plain flour.  Fry till brown 1/2 inch up and turn over.  As soon as it starts to brown turn heat down to medium.  
Cover and cook till tender.
